Serpent

Serpent is a work of art that collides two opposites - handmade compressed wool fibers and industrial metal gutter. In this work I tried to work with contrasted qualities warm- cold, soft- hard, matte-shiny, handmade-factorymade etc. It exists as a living organism that "breathes" and changes over time as the woolen threads are inevitably "arranged" differently each time, which revives the work with each re-exhibiton. This element of subtle change makes this work look more alive and natural.
