Light, Movement and Everything in Between

"Depending on the angle of observation, the irregular organic texture on the artwork creates the impression of movement and variability. The painting changes its appearance depending on the time of day and the position of the light source. Following these changes, the way the image "opens" to the viewer, from deep dark shadows to bright, emphasized parts, is for me a solemn event, like the opening of a lotus flower in the morning. That movement, that awakening of the image, is the main characteristic that makes me look at the painting as a living organism. Creating works as living beeings, aware of their finitude, I try to emphasize the relationships between time, space, life and death."
